SubTrack Privacy Policy

Information you enter in the app

SubTrack lets you manually save subscription details such as service names, renewal dates, billing cycles, prices, categories, payment mode, optional cancellation links, and optional custom subscription logos.

This information is stored locally on your device so the app can show your subscriptions, totals, reminders, insights, and PDF spending reports.

Information we collect

SubTrack does not collect, transmit, sell, or share the subscription details, custom categories, custom logos, or preference settings you enter in the app.

The app does not require account registration and does not ask for bank credentials, card details, or financial account login information.

Local storage

Your subscription data and preferences are stored on your device using local app storage. This includes app settings such as currency, custom categories, theme choice, notification preferences, onboarding state, premium entitlement state, and copied custom logo files.

If you uninstall SubTrack, clear app data, replace data through import, delete subscriptions in the app, or remove a custom logo, local data may be removed from your device.

Android backup and device-transfer behavior may also depend on your device, Google account, operating system version, and backup settings.

Import, export, and reports

SubTrack can import and export subscription data, and can generate spending report PDFs, when you choose to use those features.

• JSON and CSV exports are saved to a file location you select on your device.
• PDF spending reports are saved to a file location you select on your device.
• Imports read a JSON or CSV file you select and may replace existing local subscription data after validation and confirmation.
• You are responsible for where exported files and reports are stored, shared, or backed up.

Notifications

If you enable renewal reminders, SubTrack may schedule local notifications on your device. Notification permission is requested only when required by Android.

Reminder notifications are generated from your locally saved subscription data.

Custom logos and images

If you choose a custom logo, SubTrack uses Android's photo picker to let you select an image. The selected image is copied into SubTrack's private app storage so it remains available inside the app.

SubTrack does not upload custom logos. Removing a custom logo from a subscription attempts to delete the copied logo file from app storage.

Google Play Billing

SubTrack may offer premium features through Google Play Billing. Purchases are processed by Google Play, not directly by SubTrack.

Google may process purchase-related information according to Google Play and Google Payments policies. SubTrack uses purchase status only to unlock premium functionality in the app.

Google Play Age Signals

Where required by law, SubTrack may request age and parental-approval signals from Google Play. Google Play provides these signals; SubTrack does not ask you to enter your age directly.

SubTrack stores only the minimum local compliance state needed to decide whether app access is allowed, including the Play install ID, the returned age-signal status, and the time the signal was checked. These signals are not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or marketing.

Third-party services

SubTrack does not currently use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, bank-linking services, or cloud sync services.

The app may use your internet connection for Google Play Billing, Google Play Age Signals, loading remote service logos when a remote logo URL is configured in the built-in catalog, checking for app updates through Google Play In-App Updates, downloading a small update-configuration file from the developer's website (GitHub Pages) to decide whether an update is offered, and opening external websites when you choose to open a saved cancellation link, a legal page such as this one, Google Play subscription management, or other web link.

The update-configuration check and update checks do not send your subscription data; they only retrieve version information so the app can prompt you to update. Those websites and services are controlled by their own providers and are subject to their own privacy policies.

Children's privacy

SubTrack is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated when SubTrack changes. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
